CSUN Explorers is a 2-year program for individuals between the ages of 18-30 who are identified with intellectual/developmental disabilities, who do not have a high school diploma. Explorers enroll at CSUN through Open University. Explorers take two (2) classes each semester with CSUN undergraduate students and participate in clubs, and other activities on campus. During the second year of the program, Explorers are involved in internships on campus or in the community, in addition to taking classes. Peer Mentors are identified in each academic course and club. Academic Coaches are also provided.
