Expanding the Dialogue on Autism: Reflections on Research & Real Life in Employment

This is the second event in a series of online talks from the Institute for Community Inclusion which will engage experts in the field of autism, some of whom are on the spectrum themselves. The goal is to look at ways that people on the spectrum are shattering outdated expectations about their potential, their success, and their engagement in education, employment, healthcare, and community life. This discussion will focus on the topic of employment; moderating the discussion will be ICI Director, Tom Sannicandro. Our speakers will include:

John Butterworth, Ph.D., Director of Employment Systems Change and Evaluation at Institute for Community Inclusion

Lori Golden, EY Abilities Strategy Leader

Alan Kurtz, Ph.D., Coordinator of Education and Autism at the Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies, University of Maine

Scott Michael Robertson, Ph.D., Policy Advisor, Youth Policy Team, at Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)

Paul Wehman, Ph.D., Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Director, Virginia Commonwealth University RRTC
