Developing Partnerships for Successful Inclusive Campus Housing

Developing Partnerships for Successful Inclusive Campus Housing

This webinar introduces the inclusive living component of the Succeed Program and how it was developed. An inclusive residential program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities comes with unique support needs and requires partnerships across the University. The webinar focuses on the University partnerships needed to maintain an inclusive community which include, Residential Life, Campus Police, Health Wellness and Counseling, Student Conduct, and Student Involvement. The webinar also highlights common concerns that each of these campus units will have and how to address these concerns in order to support students in the community. Communication between campus departments is key in providing the best supportive inclusive campus housing environment for all students. The University of Missouri-St. Louis Succeed Program is in its 6th year as a post-secondary program with inclusive housing.
