The Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative, MAICEI, is a state grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education awarded to Northern Essex Community College (NECC) which gives students ages 18 to 21, with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders, the opportunity to take college courses at NECC for credit or audit and increase their school and work success. MAICEI is an inclusive, dual enrollment program. Currently we are partners with Lawrence Public Schools, Methuen High School, CREST Collaborative, Newburyport, Public Schools, Andover Public Schools and North Andover Public Schools. We have students enrolled on the Haverhill and Lawrence NECC campuses.
