SOTA Presentation: Recent National Data on Inclusive Higher Education for Students with Intellectual Disability

The Higher Education Opportunities Act of 2008 created grants for Transition and Postsecondary Education Programs for Students with Intellectual Disability (TPSID) model demonstration projects, implemented since 2010 at campuses across the US. At the November 2021 State of the Art Conference, presenters Meg Grigal and Clare Papay from the National Coordinating Center for the TPSID programs shared findings from a recent evaluation of 58 TPSID programs located at US colleges and universities in 2019-20, as well as trend data over 10 years related to inclusive course access, career development, campus membership, credential attainment and employment outcomes at these programs.
