The Non-Degree Credential Quality Imperative
This report shares reflections and outcomes of work with Alabama, Colorado, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, and Virginia, as well as other national partners, in the context of existing research and policy efforts related to defining and improving the quality of the NDC landscape nationally. It makes the case for strategically aligning access, affordability, and attainment policies at the state level with quality assurance frameworks and policies to ensure investments in high-quality credentials result in positive and equitable returns for learners, workers, and employers. As IPSE programs are most typically awarded non-degree credentials, this work examining how to ensure quality and value to these types of credentials is very relevant.
