How to join
Interested in joining the Affinity Group on Vocational Rehabilitation?
Welcome to the Think College Affinity Group on Vocational Rehabilitation. The purpose of the Affinity Group is to:
- Create an online community for review and discussion of issues, strategies and results related to the partnership between Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agencies and colleges & universities,
- Share promising practices and consider new ideas for programs,
- Exchange tips, develop intra-/inter-state partnerships, and
- Form support connections
This Affinity Group is designed for people associated with VR, higher education programs for students with intellectual disability, and allied organizations that would like to become more involved. The activities of the group will be relevant for those working directly to building or enhancing the partnership between VR and higher education programs. A particular focus will be on considering current promising practices and identifying methods of innovation/expansion in the partnerships that advance the results for mutual clients/students of these programs.
Mark your calendars! The next meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 2pm ET. It is a special crossover meeting, along with the Public Policy Affinity Group and the Student Credentials Affinity Group. You can join the meeting here.
