Check out the new Career & Technical Education (CTE) Affinity Group

The CTE Affinity Group will bring together those who are currently involved in inclusive postsecondary programs at CTE institutions or those who would like to become more involved in expanding CTE opportunities for students with intellectual disability. This is an open-access group for individuals who want to contribute to the expansion of CTE access for students with intellectual disability. Meetings will include facilitated discussion on opportunities and barriers to CTE for students with intellectual disability as well as guest speakers and experts from the field.

The facilitators of the CTE Affinity Group are Dr. Drew Andrews, Assistant Director and Technical Assistance Coordinator for the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities and Chair, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Collaborative Workgroup, and Dr. Danie Roberts-Dahm, Project Coordinator, Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network. You are welcome to contact them to share topics of interest and/or questions.

This first meeting provided an overview of the group’s purpose and identification of goals from those in attendance, as well as an overview of resources and partners as part of the Think College Network’s CTE collaborative workgroup.

The next meeting is November 15, 2022 at 3pm ET. Sign up for the CTE Affinity Group and more using the Affinity Group sign up form
