We are happy to announce a new type of publication, created with our partners at AUCD, or Association of University Centers on Disability. The Plain Language Series will feature new publications based on existing Think College documents. Each one will be written in plain language, which is defined by Plain Language Action and Information Network (PLAIN) as language that “makes it easier for the public to read, understand, and use government communications.”
There are four new publications to launch this new series, each one written in clear and concise language, with easy-to-read type and icons. They are on the topics of WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014), FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act), the ABLE Act (Achieving a Better Life Experience), and federal financial aid. You can find all four publications here.
