Lori Cooney

Lori provides technical assistance and training workshops to universities on inclusive instructional and technology practices for transition & inclusion. She has over 25 years of extensive experience in designing and delivering professional development on universal design for learning (UDL), instructional design, inclusive education, individualized learning plans, curriculum development, course design, technology integration, college and career readiness, and assessment strategies for pK-16 students. Lori facilitates the Technology and UDL Affinity Group for the National Coordinating Center for Transition to Postsecondary Education Programs (TPSID) and provides technical assistance around UDL and instructional design. Lori is recognized as a MassCUE Champion and has received the prestigious 2012 MassCUE Pathfinder Award, a Technology Humanist Award from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is recognized as a Christa McAuliffe Teacher by the Challenger Learning Center. Additionally, she is the project coordinator for Future Quest Island-Explorations, a fully accessible college and career readiness adventure for elementary school students funded by the Federal Office of Special Education Programs.
