The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network, in partnership with the State of the Art (SOTA) Conference, will be hosting a pre-conference capacity building institute (CBI) on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 about the development and expansion of state and regional alliances. The morning session will focus on state alliance support and development. The afternoon session will focus on regional alliance leadership structures and offer planning time for participants interested in building future regional alliances.
We will kick-off the pre-conference by sharing models of state alliance leadership followed by updates from current state alliances on topics such as leadership, funding, communication, and key activities. The morning session will wrap up with state alliance team planning and support. The afternoon session will begin with an information session, “What is the Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network?” followed by our plan to establish a national network of regional alliances. We will then have panelists from the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance (SEPSEA) and the Midwest Post-Secondary Education Alliance (MIPSA) to provide an overview of their regional alliances and lessons learned along the way. The afternoon session will conclude with planning time for future regional alliances.
Susanna Miller-Raines, Alliance Manager for the Think College Network, will be leading the CBI along with Project Coordinator, Dr. Danie Roberts-Dahm, and representatives from SEPSEA and MIPSA. The Think College Network will be releasing information on future funding opportunities related to regional alliance formation at this event. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Those interested in creating, building, or strengthening their state alliances as well as those interested in being involved in future regional alliances are invited to join us!
Registration, pre-conference and additional information is available on the SOTA Conference website.
